After everyone left the apartment, I went into the bathroom and took a long shower, got ready for work and had Edward drop me off at Andy's place to pack up my shit. He wasn't home, so I left him a little note, telling him that I was moving in with Edward and that if he needed me for whatever reason, I'd be around.
Work was busy, as usual. Sam came back, sad as a motherfucker that his vacation days were now officially over, but...he got right back into keeping Eclipse in business, making me real proud that I had a boss like him.
Edward said that he would see me later on tonight, saying that he had something that he had to take care of. I didn't ask any questions, just nodded and told him to "Get lost," as he gave me a copy of the apartment key and told me in return to — very politely — "Keep out of his shit."
Nice, motherfucker. Nice.
I got home around three thirty in the morning, tired as hell. The lights were all out, so I assumed that Edward was sleeping. I quietly walked into the living room before locking up the front door, tip toeing around with my arms held out in front of me, only because Edward decided that keeping the lights off and making the room pitch black was cool. After stumbling over to one of the side tables, I felt around for the lamp before turning it on.
Hmm, interesting.
There were clothes scattered all over the couch, and...
A pair of tall red hooker heels laid out on the carpet, by the living room table.
Oh, but the best part was the leopard bra that was hanging off of the TV screen, like...
Look at me, look at me, I'm a fucking animal!
Please.
I walked over to the kitchen door and swung it open.
Empty.
I walked over to the hallway and called his name.
Nothing.
I kicked my chucks off and left them in the middle of the living room floor, along with my hoodie after pulling it over my head, seeing as to how Mr. Clean Freak was taking the motherfucking night off, anyway. After walking into the kitchen and pouring my ass a tall glass of milk, I started headed towards my bedroom while I sipped the deliciousness along the way.
"Yesssss, baby...that's it!"
Fuck my milk. I don't want it anymore.
It's enough living with the dick to begin with, but now I'm going to have to deal with hearing Edward Cullen's bitches moaning and groaning also?
Stopping at my bedroom door, I turned around and glared at his, which was right the fuck across from mine.
"Do it, do it again," some heifer moaned.
"Great," I mumbled to myself as I turned around. Gritting my teeth, I kicked my door open and stepped inside before slamming the shit shut behind me with a growl. "Just great!"
I walked over to my TV and punched the power button on before I turned the volume up as high as I could tolerate it, drowning out the garbage that was currently occurring across the hallway. When my ears were satisfied, I went into the bathroom to take my second shower of the day, trying to...do something, knowing that I won't be able to fall asleep pissed off.
"This is what I'm talking about," I hummed, putting on one of my old ripped tee shirts before tugging a pair of boy shorts over my hips. After laying down in bed, I went to pull the covers up over my shoulders, but stopped as I heard a knock against my door. "Yeah?"
"Bae, it's me."
I raised an eyebrow, like so? "Okay, and?"
He started knocking again, but only louder now, like he was on some kind of a goddamn mission to drive me up the wall. Shooting out of bed after tossing my covers to the floor, I growled as I opened the door. "What?"
Edward leaned back a bit and looked at me for a couple of seconds, his eyes stupid gorgeous and sexified. Running all ten of his long and exquisite fingers through his twisted hair, he raised a brow as his gaze met my own again. "Hey, uh, what's up?"
Wasn't he the one who knocked on my door?
Why the hell was he just standing there, like I was the one who wanted to talk?
"Edward?"
Placing his hands against my door frame, he smirked. "Bella."
I karate chopped his elbows, making him stumble forward a little bit before he regained his balance with narrowed eyes that matched mine. "I'm fucking tired, so what do you want?"
"Are you deaf?" he asked me as he nodded towards my TV.
"Are you deaf?"
His eyebrows scrunched together. "No."
"Well, Edward. If you're not deaf, then I'm sure that you can hear the God-awful noises that you are enticing out of a certain broad, therefore...I'm pretty certain that you know that I can hear that shit, too...yeah?" I asked him, punctuating every 'you' with a finger jab to his chest. His eyebrows scrunched together even more, like he was confused about the shit that I was spilling to him, so I whispered his name in some slow as shit manner, since I was clearly dealing with an idiot. "Do you really think that I want to hear that shit, man?"
He grimaced after a second or two. "Shit, Bella, I'm sorry. I uh, it wasn't li—"
I rolled my eyes in boredom, interrupting his words. "Are you really explaining yourself, to me?"
"Uh, yeah, alright, see you later," he whispered before quickly turning around. "I mean, goodnight."
I shook my head at the kid's unnecessary nervousness as he walked into his room and slammed the door shut behind him. After following his act, I grabbed a hold of my bag and brought the obnoxious night light that I purchased earlier out of it. "Thanks, Phil," I growled to myself as I plugged it in, "I feel like a goddamn two year old all over again."
After turning the lights off, I climbed into bed and pulled the covers over my body, falling back into my cool pillow and even cooler sheets as I closed my eyes and hummed, letting the day leave my being.
"Mama?" I asked looking over my shoulder, "Are you sure that my hair looks alright?"
She laughed a quiet sound as she shook her head. "Sweetheart," she hummed, putting even more hairspray over the top of my head, "It's perfect, why are you so worried?"
"I dunno," I mumbled, looking away from her.
"Baby, is there someone here who you're trying to impress?"
"No!" I shouted, narrowing my eyes at her.
"There is!" she yelped in happiness before she made a big show of trying to calm herself down by fanning her face. "Okay, okay, okay."
I rolled my eyes. "It's just that...I never had a summer party before, and there might be this one kid, whatever." She clapped her hands together, telling me to pout so that she could put lipstick on me afterwards. "No way," I growled, shaking my head, "None of that. It's enough that I'm wearing this stupid skirt."
She nodded with a frown. "Fine, alright."
We both turned our attention over to the closed door when we heard a knock against it. "Baby, people are already here, I don't know what to do," daddy whispered in some frantic type of a way from the other side. "Help me."
Mom rolled her eyes as she walked over to the door. After opening it, she pulled his face down to hers by his tie before she kissed him. "Just welcome them in, honey."
He wiggled his eyebrows as he leaned down and kissed her.
And it was a little too long for my liking.
I groaned an "Ewe" as I pushed them away from each other. "Is this how it's going to be all night?"
Mom blushed and dad's mustache twitched as he kissed the tip of her nose. After looking down at me for a second, he returned his attention back to his wife with narrowed eyes. "Why is my pumpkin dressed like that, and her hair...it's all...girly...why?"
"No reason," she whispered, pushing by him. Reaching the stairs, she looked over her shoulder with a raised eyebrow as she nodded towards the noise that was coming from the living room. "Let's go, it's time to mingle."
Looking at me as mom walked downstairs, he smiled. "You're beautiful, Kiddo."
"Thanks, daddy," I whispered, looking up at him.
He nodded as he bent down a bit, taking a hold of my face. As the old man ran his palms along my cheeks and lifted his hands up to his squinting eyes afterwards, I rolled my own, noticing that he was trying to see if I had any makeup on. After a couple of seconds, he let out a sigh of relief. "Dad, come on!" I laughed, looking at him incredulously. "You thought that she could actually convince me to wear that stuff?"
"She is convincing, kiddo. You can't blame me for making sure."
"Yeah, yeah," I mumbled, shaking my head as I grabbed onto his hand to lead him downstairs. "Let's go, before she starts dancing on the kitchen table again, like last year."

When we reached the living room, daddy walked over to his friends from the station to join in on their conversation, and when I noticed that my mom was laughing it up with our 'lovely' neighbors, I groaned, trying to figure out what I could do, not wanting to be caught in any part of their 'gossipy' ways.
The doorbell rang and I jumped in my spot before heading over to the front door.
It's Jason!
Oh God, this is it!
Ewe, I thought with a grimace. I'm acting like a stupid girl.
After I pulled the door open, I rolled my eyes as I saw Jake. "Mm, it's only you. What a pleasure."
"Are you sure that I have to be here, Pop?" he growled, looking up at Billy. "This chick gets on my n—"
"Hey, Kid," Billy interrupted, kneeling down before giving the top of my head a kiss. "Where's Pop?" I nodded towards the kitchen in answer and he walked inside, keeping his eyes on his son. "Watch your mouth, Jacob."

"So?" he asked me after rolling his eyes at his Pop.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "So?"
"So let me in," he hissed, still standing outside.
I stepped to the side a bit, and when he went to walk inside, I shut the door in his face. As I turned around and headed towards the kitchen, I shook my head. "Idiot," I laughed to myself.

"Kiddo, where's Jake?" my Pop asked me as soon as I stepped into the kitchen.
I hid my grin as I faced the crowd. "He said that he had to go and drop a deuce, whatever that means. He ran up the stairs yelling something along the lines of 'I'll be back, ten pounds later.' And then he said something about how he thinks that wiping after performing said deuce was useless, that instead, he likes to air dry."
The ladies that my mom was standing with gasped before covering up their mouths, pure disgust evident over their features. "Young kids, nowadays, huh?" Mom laughed awkwardly, trying to diffuse the situation.
Pop shook his head as he lowered it, a smile fighting itself for freedom underneath his mustache. "Man, you have a great kid," one of his friends from the station whispered in awe, patting his back.
I smiled as I pushed the back door open. After walking over to the swings that my Pop built a while ago, I took a seat, looking at the ground. A few minutes later, the tire that was placed next to mine started moving and I lifted my head so see who is was. "Hey, Bella."
"Hey, Jason," I breathed.
He is so hot.

I growled, slapping my forehead with the palm of my hand. "Sorry, I uh...didn't mean to say that. Actually, I did, but I didn't...I uh, thought it, but to say that out loud...wow, that's embarrassing."

He nodded at my rambling as he tried to hide his smirk, and I swooned.
We started talking, and I grew more comfortable with him. After a few minutes passed by, Jason stood up from the swing that he was sitting on and went behind me before he started pushing me. "You uh, look really pretty," he whispered.
I blushed as I lowered my head. "Oh uh, thanks, I guess."
"You should dress like this more often."
I narrowed my eyes at the scattered patches of grass, below me. "Why?"
"I don't know," he whispered, moving in front of me, "You're just prettier, this way."
"You pig!" I growled, letting my bare feet drag against the dirt to stop myself. "What, I have to dress a certain way to be pretty to you?"
"I don't know," he whispered, moving in front of me, "You're just prettier, this way."
"You pig!" I growled, letting my bare feet drag against the dirt to stop myself. "What, I have to dress a certain way to be pretty to you?"
He stepped back a little bit, his eyes wide. "What?"
"What?" I hissed in repetition. "You didn't hear me?"
Something in him switched.
The shy and charismatic boy that came out here earlier, was gone.
Now, I saw the typical boy. The boy who was just like every other boy.
He shrugged after a second with a laugh. "You dress like a boy, so you look like one most of the time."

I stood up from the swing, all the while glaring at him. "Oh, you little..." I went to punch the idiot, but someone from behind me grabbed a hold of my arm when it swung back. I looked over my shoulder and saw Jake...so, I went to hit him instead for stopping me, but he pushed me out of the way and threw his fist back before knocking Jason the hell out.
Wow!
Jake grinned as the kid hit the grass with a groan. "Bella Swan dresses just fine," he mumbled, giving Jason a small kick to the side, and before I got the chance to thank him, he walked away, acting like nothing ever happened.
My dad arguing with some guy caught my attention, and I scrunched my eyebrows together before I started heading towards the back porch, where I saw his tensed up back facing me. Staying in the shadows so that they didn't notice me, I tried to overhear what they were talking about. "Charlie, if I hear you say one word, you'll regret it."
"You're not doing your job. If you don't turn yourself in, then I will."
I was confused by my Pop's statement.
What the heck was going on?
I never, ever...heard that angry tone that was coming from my dad.
It scared me a little bit.
"Turn me in," the guy who he was talking to spat, "And you'll see what happens."
As he pushed himself past my Pop after his threat and headed towards the back door, I saw his face. "Kevin?" I whispered to myself with a raised eyebrow.
I didn't understand.
They were good friends from the station.

I inhaled a long breath as my head shot up from the pillow that it was laying on top of.
That motherfucker with Phil was a friend of my Pops!
Jesus Christ!
I jumped out of bed before I ran over to the door and swung it open. Stumbling through the hallway, I headed towards the living room in some frantic type of a way, pure shock dominating my entire system.
My cell phone is somewhere out here!
Where?
I don't know, but it is!
Where?
I don't know, but it is!
Fuck, I need to calm down. I'm thinking with exclamation points.
I swung the kitchen door open and looked around, manically.
Nothing.
After turning around, I ran my ass over to the couch, or at least, where I thought that the couch was, since I couldn't really see anything, because all of the lights were out, motherfucking again. In the process of spazing the hell out, I stubbed my big toe against something hard and growled as I lifted my leg to rub it. "Shit, cock, balls!"
At my outburst, someone groaned from beside me a second before the lights came on, and I froze when Tanya's face came into view.

With no makeup.
I may have yelped in horror.
"What are you doing here?" she sneered from her spot on the couch. I ignored her stupid being as I looked around for my hoodie. "Yeah. Stop," she continued as she pushed herself up to her feet, acting like the bitch was tough as she placed her arms across her fake chest with narrowed eyes, "What are you doing here?"
"If you don't remove your face from my space," I started, my fists clenched together as she came up to me, "I will remove it for you, hooker."
"I'm not going anywhere," she replied with a shrug.
"I'm warning you, butter face. Move away from me."

"I'm not going anywhere," she replied with a shrug.
"I'm warning you, butter face. Move away from me."
"Make me," she laughed. Cracking my knuckles, I grinned, like finally. "Owe!" she yelled a second later, really fucking loudly, "Stop!" she screamed as she started scratching her face up with one hand, the other one busy with pulling on her hair, "Please, stop!"
I looked at her like, what the hell is up with this broad?
I'm not even touching the bitch, she's beating her own ass up.
Hearing one of the bedroom doors swing open in the hallway, I stepped away from the crazy loon that was standing in front of me before Edward reached the living room, running his hands over his face, looking tired and sexy as all hell. "What's going on?" he asked us in a drowsy whisper, his eyes on mine.
I shrugged, having no goddamn clue on how to answer the kid's question.
Turning his attention over to Ms. Nuthouse, his eyes widened a little bit as he took in the numerous scratches that were all over her face. As the prick looked back at me with a glare, I threw my hands up in the air with nothing but disbelief. "Bae, what the fuck did you do?"
"Christ, I didn't do anything!" I yelled before nodding at her, "This bitch is out of her goddamn mind!"
Tanya cried out as she ran over to Edward, and I kind of just...gaped at the broad. "Oh God, baby! That...thing...that considers herself a lady, she's horrible!"
Edward's body tensed up as soon as Tanya threw herself at him. He held out his arms, not holding her back, as she clung onto him. Looking over at me, he rolled his eyes when I lifted my fingers to the side of my head, making a circular motion over my temple as I mouthed 'Cookoo, cookoo,' over and over again. "T," he groaned, his palms against her stomach pushing her back a bit, "Chill out with the baby talk. You know that I hate that shit."

She hiccupped. "But, but…she hit me, for nothing!"
"I did no such thing!" I shouted. "Jesus Christ, woman! When was the last time that you met up with your goddamn psychiatrist? I think that it's about that fucking time, yeah?"
Tanya's hands turned into fists a second after my God Honest question, and when she flew towards me like a goddamn ostrich, Edward grabbed a hold of her waist from behind, shaking his head. "None of that, man. Come on."
Ignoring her pout, I turned around and found my hoodie laying on the floor by my feet. As I bent over a bit to snatch it up, I heard the nutcase laughing behind me. "Damn."
Facing the two of them again as I straitened back up, I raised an eyebrow at Edward's tense-filled jaw as he addressed the previous mentioned nutcase. "Tanya, don't."
"What?" I asked, not understanding her grin and Edward's glare.
"Your back is attractive," she stated, placing her arms across her chest. "What, were you in some kind of a knife fight?" My eyebrows scrunched together in confusion as she continued. "It looks like you lost, after all."
Realization hit me after a second or two as I noticed that my tee shirt had ridden up my torso a bit when I bent over, so I quickly grabbed a hold of the hem and pulled it down, my breathing coming out a little faster as I imagined her seeing the marks that Phil left on my skin. "Tanya, shut up," Edward hissed with clenched teeth before turning his attention to me with a shake of his head, "Bae, don't you listen to h—"
I whispered something undetectable — even to my own ears — as I shook my head and pushed my way through them. "I'm just going to go."
Before I had the chance of reaching my bedroom, Edward ran up to me and blocked my way as he quickly placed himself in front of the closed door. "Christ, Bella...I'm sorry about what happened." I shook my head as I lowered it, telling him that it wasn't his fault. "No, it is. She's here for me, and she's fucking ridiculous...I don't want you to listen to all of that shit that she said to you, alright?"
I nodded, not caring and just wanting to get the hell away from the kid before I broke down. "Uh, excuse me." He stepped to the side as he lowered his head, and I opened my bedroom door and walked inside before closing it behind me, leaning against it after I turned around. "Fuck," I groaned as I ran my hands against my eyes, feeling the wetness al-fucking-ready.
"Bella? Open up, yeah?"
"Edward, I'm good," I whispered, rubbing my eyes, "Just go to bed, I'll see you tomorrow."
Hearing a few light knocks on the other side, I placed my head against the door and closed my eyes. "I know that you're good. Just open up for a second, yeah?"
Pushing myself away from the door with a groan, I ran into my bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror, gritting my teeth while I quickly washed my face, drying it off afterwards. Reaching the bedroom door again, I picked up my hoodie and shoved it on before I pulled it open, just enough to stick my head out. "Yeah?"
He rolled his eyes at me as he pushed the door open before stepping inside, making me back up a bit as I lowered my head and placed my arms across my chest. "Shit." Hearing a mumbled curse word leave his throat at the same time that I heard him shut the door, I lifted my head and raised a brow as he walked over to me and pulled me in for a hug, wrapping his arms around my shoulders. "Tanya is crazy, Bella. Don't listen to a word that comes out of her mouth, yeah?"
"Edward, I'm alright," I whispered, leaning back a little so that I could look into his eyes. "Stop acting like this is the first time that shit like this happens to me."
"Not here it doesn't," he whispered angrily, shaking his head as his arms dropped to his sides. "That's not fucking acceptable to me."
I nodded, too exhausted to deal with this shit right now. "Look, I can handle myse—"

I mean, shit...I invite her here and she treats you like that? That's so fucking unbelievable, man. You need to be comfortable here, because you live here...she doesn't." I walked up to the kid and grabbed a hold of his shoulder to stop him. Looking down at me, he shook his head as he tried to apologize again. "I'm sorr—"
I shook my head, interrupting him as I placed one of my hands over the back of his neck to bring his face closer to mine. "It's okay, Edward. Honestly." His eyebrows scrunched together, and I smiled at the kid as I leaned up a bit, slowly. His green gaze moved down from my brown one and fell on my mouth before he wet his lips, in some unconscious type of a way, and before I could stop myself, I kissed him.
Softly.

Leaning away, I ran my fingers across his top lip with a smile. "Stop worrying."
"You just kissed me for no reason," he whispered with a lopsided smile.
"You just kissed me for no reason," he whispered with a lopsided smile.
I rolled my eyes, returning his beam. "The reason was to shut you up." He laughed and I shook my head, turning serious again as I wrapped my arms around his torso. "Thank you for earlier," I whispered, placing my cheek against his chest as he hugged me back.
"Why are you thanking me?"
"I'm thanking you for caring."
Feeling his mouth smiling against the top of my head, I closed my eyes. "Bae, even though you annoy me beyond belief and I hate your ass on most days, you're my girl. I'm always going to care about you, whether you like it or not. Get used to it."
Leaning back, I grinned as I pinched his cheeks and he rolled his eyes at me in return before he pushed my hands away from his face. After walking over to the door, I locked it and turned off all of the lights before climbing into bed, looking at him like come on, dude. Don't keep me waiting. The kid wiggled his eyebrows, pumping one of his fists in the air as he jumped over me. After covering us up with my blanket, he pulled me closer to him. "So, we're good, yeah?"
I nodded as I placed one of my arms over his shoulder, letting his own hang off of my waist. "Until tomorrow, at least," I whispered with a smirk.
"Hmm," he agreed, closing his eyes, "Night, Bae."
"Hey," I thought out loud, causing his eyes to open, "What about the creature?"
He rolled his eyes before closing them again. "She left, good-fucking-bye." As he yawned, I followed suit. "Now, do me a solid and shut up, yeah? My sleep is a lot more enjoyable when you don't talk."
"Hey!" I laughed, slapping his chest.
"I'm only keeping it real, Bae," he whispered, taking a hold of my hand to stop my hitting. "You're much easier to deal with when you don't have a voice. It's almost like the sky opens up and God comes through, giving me everything that I could ever possibly want."
I grinned, closing my eyes as his fingers started working there magic against my lower back, softly running themselves along my skin. "You think that you're so fucking funny, man."
"You're still talking, Bella."
I snorted. "Night."

"Fucking stop," he groaned as he slapped my hand away from his face, turning his head to the other side so that my fingers couldn't tease his nose any more, "You're a pain in my ass, man."
I pursed my lips together before I licked my pointer finger. "Wake up, Edward," I whispered as I shoved my digit into his ear, "I'm bored, already."
He growled something comical as his face turned towards mine again. "You're sick," he mumbled, his eyes lazy as they bore into my own. "Stop using me for your entertainment."
I yawned, turning onto my back as I stretched. "Stop," I whined, drawling out the word as his fingers started drifting down my ribs, underneath the blanket that was covering the both of us. Before I had the chance to finish my stretching, his digits found the skin over my stomach and started tickling me, to the goddamn extreme. "Edwa—I—ah!" The idiot laughed at my thrashing around as I tried to push him away from me, but instead of being successful in my attempts, I groaned as he rolled on top of my ass, trapping me underneath him. "Christ, man! Get o—"
"Now I'm awake," he let me know with a smirk, biting the fat out of my one cheek before rolling off of me and onto his stomach, ignoring my growl as I wiped his saliva off of my skin. "Good morning, Bae."
Jumping onto his back, I gritted my teeth. "You have sleep issues!"
"Jesus, Bella!" he growled, covering up his ear.
I laughed in pleasure and he lifted his body up from the sheets a second later, tossing me off of the bed. "Fucking owe!" I hissed as I landed on the hardwood floor, narrowing my eyes at the snort that left his throat as I lifted my head. "I'm a goddamn female, man!"
"Could've fooled me."
I rolled my eyes as I pushed myself up to my feet. "Could've fooled me," I mocked him, heading towards the bathroom with my middle finger up in the air.

While I was pulling my hair up into a ponytail after getting out of the shower a couple of minutes ago, my cell phone rang, so I walked over to my bedside table and flipped it open before I sat down. "Yeah?"
"Bella Boo!"
I held the phone away from my newly deaf ear as I shook my head.
"Bella Boo, you better answer me, I know that you're there!"
Placing the phone back to my ear, I rolled my eyes. "Too much, slut. Too. Much."
"Are you ready?" she asked, screeching once again.
"Ready? Ready for what?"
She huffed on the other end of the line, clearly annoyed. "For tonight, you bitch of a hooker. Remember how we all planned that we were going to go out and celebrate you and Edward moving in together?"
Looking over at my alarm clock, I laughed. "Uh, Pixie...look at the time, you dork."
"So? It's twelve."
"In the afternoon."
"Whatev, Bella Boo, stop being so specific all the time," she replied. "Rosie bitch and I are going to be there around seven. We're going to make you look so good tonight, girl...that he won't be able to resist your fine ass."
My eyebrows scrunched together. "Who won't be able to resist my fine ass?"
"Uh, can't...you...shit...bye!"
I rolled my eyes at the hookah's slick antics of 'Oh, I'm rubbing goddamn paper over the goddamn phone to act like the goddamn connection was goddamn lost,' as I looked down at the screen. My thoughts instantly switched over to Billy, seeing the words 'Call ended,' knowing that I needed to talk to him. If there was any information that concerned my Pop's death out there, he was the only person who would know.
But, how the hell do I go about and ask him something like this, seeing as to how it was so long ago? I mean, there were so many goddamn questions that were running through my mind, ever since that dream that I had the night before.
What happened, exactly?
Why did I find my Pop in the condition that I found him in?
Oh God, did Phil have anything to do with it?
And, Renee. Did she know something?
No.
I can't fucking think that. It would drive me insane.
Charlie's death happened so long ago, though. And, I was too young.
I didn't know what to ask. I wasn't in the right state of mind.
Numbness, that is all that I felt.
After quickly dialing his number, I anxiously waited for him to answer.
"Hello?"
"Billy," I whispered, unsure of how he would take me calling him.

"Kid?"
"Yeah, it's me."
"Are you okay?" he asked, worry evident within his voice.
"Yeah, sure...I just uh...fucking shit."
"Are you okay?" he asked, worry evident within his voice.
"Yeah, sure...I just uh...fucking shit."
Hearing his soft laughter, I closed my eyes. "What's going on, Kid?"
"Kevin," I blurted out as I lowered my head, "From the station?"
Pin drop.
Fuck.
Did I want to know?
Did I want to know?
"Billy?"
"I'm here," he whispered, a tone so gentle that I had to open my eyes to pay attention.
"He had something to do with the murder, didn't he?"

…
"Bell—"
I hung up on him before he could finish.
That little hesitation was my demise.
"Oh God," I exhaled, standing up from the bed, letting my cell drop onto the floor.

That motherfucker had something to do with my Pop's death.
Phil knows him, is even buddies with the asshole.
Something wasn't sitting right with me.
I ran into the bathroom and slid down to the floor, nearly missing the toilet as I threw up everything that was inside of me. After rinsing out my mouth, I stood up and walked over to my bed before getting underneath the covers, feeling emotionally drained. My wet eyes closed while I tried to forget about the mess of complete shit that I just found out.

"Honey B."
"She's asleep, bitch."
"Cork it, Pix."
"Don't get snippy with me, Rosie bitch."
"If you weren't you, spaz stick, I would shove my heels so —"
"Far up my ass, that I'd be walking on my head," Pix finished, "Yeah, bitch. I know."
"God, shut up. I'm sleeping here," I groaned, throwing my pillow over my head. As it was yanked away from me, which boiled my fucking blood to the max, I quickly threw one of my legs out with a hiss, hoping to cause injury to whoever was standing anyone near my parameter.
"My arm, Bella Boo!"
Win.
"Get your ass up," Rose spat. I ignored her command, and a not a second later, the bitch pulled on the blanket that were covering up my body, therefore leaving said body cold in consequence. "I said, get your ass up!"
I motherfucking hate when someone does that shit.
A growl left me as I opened my eyes, and Rose rolled her own at my dramatics in return. "Come on, Killer," Pix whispered, standing up from my bed. "The guys are meeting us at the club in two hours. We have to get ready."

Rose shook her head at my raised eyebrow as I kept my attention on the Pixie when she started picking random shit up from my bedroom floor. "Don't try and stop her, Honey B. She'll only get the duster out and inspect the goddamn ceiling fan and shit."
I climbed out of bed and stomped towards the bathroom. "I'll be right back." Looking over my shoulder, I shook my head at the girls. "Just stay in my goddamn room. Dickward doesn't like it when his shit gets messed around with. He has this way of knowing, even when it's not mentioned to him, yeah?"
Pixie rolled her eyes but nodded, in some 'I completely understand,' type of a way.
Rose took my spot on the bed and got comfortable. "Whatever, B. Just hurry up with your shower, so that I can have more time to turn you into the slut that you need to be."

"Right," I mumbled, stepping into my bathroom.
Two Hours Later
Standing in line at some goddamn noisy ass club, dressed like a hooker.
I pulled on the shirt that Rose forced me in earlier as I looked around, nervous as all hell. "Would you stop?" the hooker who dressed me hissed, taking a hold of my hands and interlacing our fingers together to stop my own from fidgeting, "You're perfectly fine, you freak."
"I bet on your life that some asshole is going to ask me how much I charge for a goddamn blow job tonight!" She rolled her eyes at my outburst and I looked over my shoulder with a growl that was directed at a couple of bitches who were staring at me like I was clinically insane. "Oh, mind your own fucking businesses, broads!" I shouted, to which Pix snorted as they looked away, pretending like they had no clue about what the hell I was snapping for.
The top wasn't short or anything, but the neckline?
Jesus H. Christ!
Looking down, I groaned an emotionally painful "Oh God," before returning my attention to Rose and Pixie with narrowed eyes. "Honestly, bitches, don't be surprised if I end up in a four by four after I get locked the hell up for killing a motherfucker."
I mean, the shirt was alright...for Rose.
Who had more than enough confidence to wear something like this.

But for me?
Let's get real, man.
After we stepped inside, I handed my hoodie over to the guy who was in charge of holding onto jackets and shit. As he handed me a number, I narrowed my eyes at him. "You lose my hoodie, man...and I'll kill you," I told him in some calm manner, "With absolutely no regrets at that. You hear me?"

He gulped a little bit, kind of scared.
Good. I think that I got my point across.
Rose led the way after she grabbed a hold of Pixie's hand, who in return, interlaced her fingers with my own. It was jam-packed in this mother, so we had to pull and push through the crowd to get by. Reaching the spot where we were supposed to meet our dudes at, Blue Eyes greeted us with a whistle as he stood up from one of the couches. "Well, goddamn!"
Rose walked up to him and kissed his cheek before heading over towards her man, who winked at her as soon as he spotted the woman, leaning against the wall. "It's about time, baby!" he complained, to which she nodded at Pixie, who she chose to blame it on, randomly.
And, Pix attacked Jasper next, ignoring the fault that was placed against her.

I rolled my eyes as I pushed her away from the kid. Giving him a quick peck over his lips after I wiped them off with my sleeve, I grinned. "Blue Eyes. Always a fucking pleasure."
He whispered a dramatic "Oh," as he grabbed onto my hand, kissing the top of it. "But the fucking pleasure is surely mine, Bella."
I snorted, lightly slapping him against his cheek a couple of times. After greeting Emmett and Jake, I sat down on one of the booths that were placed around the small room that was overlooking the dance floor. The girls went over to the bar to order some shots, while the boys kept their eyes on the crowd like some fucking hawks. Feeling strong arms wrap themselves around my shoulders from behind, I tensed up a bit before I relaxed, hearing the goddamn sexy ass voice invade my ear. "What are you doing, sitting here all by yourself?"
Placing my hands over his arms, I looked over my shoulder with a grin. "I hate crowds," I told him with a dramatic grimace, "And I'm not drunk enough to dance yet, so...you know how that goes."
"Sure do." He smirked before jumping over the back of the booth, landing right next to me. "Wow," he started in some surprised type of a way as his eyes ran up and down my attire, "You look kind of hot."
I rolled my eyes as I leaned back a bit, his arm that was placed over the top of the booth touching the back of my neck. "You're so charming, Edward."
Taking a long sip out of his beer bottle, he kept his eyes on mine. He looked as if he was getting ready to tell me something afterwards, but his gaze left my own when his lips spread apart and went over my shoulder. "Fuck," he groaned.
I raised an eyebrow at him before I turned my attention to the entrance.
Tanya.
Joy.

Tanya.
Joy.
As soon as she spotted the kid who was sitting next to me, the chick started strutting over towards us, acting as if she was the only one in this goddamn club who deserved attention, what with the way that she shoved herself through the crowd. After the broad who I nicknamed Ms. Nutcase reached the two of us, she winked at Edward — who in return tensed up a bit, bringing his bottle up to his mouth — before she glared at me, like I was all up in her kool aid. And honestly?
I just laughed. "Nice. Your makeup doesn't match your neck."
Edward coughed up his beer, making it fly out of his mouth as he bent over a bit. "Christ," he choked as Tanya stomped away with no comeback. I turned my attention over to the kid, and patted his back. After a few seconds of my 'assistance,' he grinned. "You're unbelievable, Bae."
"Well it's the truth," I shrugged. "I mean, come on! The broad had to know that shit. Her face feeling a tad bit heavy is a pretty good clue, don't you think?"
He shook his head as he rolled his eyes at me. "Bella, I wanted to talk to you about that night," he whispered as he leaned towards me after a couple of seconds went by in silence. I raised a brow, waiting for the kid to clarify, since I didn't know what night he was talking about. "You know, that night that I...kind of...attacked you, in a way?"
"Oh," I whispered as I sat up a bit, bringing us a little closer, "Yeah, go ahead."
"I just..."
"Here you go, bitch! Chug the shit!"
Edward and I both looked up at Rose's interruption before Pixie shoved a shot glass at my face, nearly spilling it all over my lap in her haste. "Tits and ass, baby!"

Looking over my shoulder, I grimaced at Edward, but he shook his head before nodding towards the dance floor with a forced smile placed over his mouth. 'It's not a big deal,' he mouthed, 'We'll talk about it another time, go.'
I nodded, mumbling an okay in return. Just as I was about to walk away, the kid slapped the elasticity out of my left ass cheek, causing me to hiss before I turned around with a glare. "Fucking watch it, man!"
Looking around the room, he tried to hide the smirk that was fighting his lips as he leaned back, placing his arms across his chest. "I don't know what you're talking about, Bae."
I rolled my eyes with a smile tugging on my own lips as I leaned down a bit to give the kid's mouth a couple of smacks. "I bet."

Dancing my ass off as I stood in between the Pixie and Rose, I decided that I needed a refill, since we were all practically drenched in sweat. After telling the girls that I was going to go and get us more alcohol, I walked over to the bar and ordered three Miller Lites.
While I was waiting for the drinks, my fingers that were laying against the counter in front of me tightened their hold over the marble as I felt someone's arms wrap themselves around my waist. "Listen, motherfucker," I started in a growl, "I don't know who told you that it was o—" I stopped as soon as I turned around and saw that it was James who was standing behind me, "Oh. Hey."
He stepped back and whistled as his eyes ran down my body. "Damn."
Placing my elbows against the counter behind me, I raised an eyebrow at him. "James, I recommend that you stop looking at me like that, unless of course, you have no problem in my boys noticing it, then by all means...continue," I teased...
Placing my elbows against the counter behind me, I raised an eyebrow at him. "James, I recommend that you stop looking at me like that, unless of course, you have no problem in my boys noticing it, then by all means...continue," I teased...
But not really.
There was a difference with the way that he checked me out.
I couldn't really describe it, but it made me uncomfortable, nonetheless.
He shrugged, obviously not giving a shit. After the bartender returned with the drinks that I ordered, I turned around and gritted my teeth as I saw James pay for them when I went to do exactly that. "What is it with you fucking dudes, thinking that I can't pay for my own goddamn drinks?" I mumbled to myself, walking away from the counter and him after snatching up the bottles.
Hearing him laughing behind me, I held my hand up and flipped him off.
Seeing that Rose and Pixie weren't out on the dance floor anymore, I walked back over to where the three of us met up with our 'men' at the beginning of the night. Taking notice that there were a couple of random broads who were all up in our area, I raised an eyebrow at the one who was sitting on top of Edward's lap until Andy came into my view, and I smiled at him while he paid me no mind as he talked to Jasper, who was seated next to him.
After Pixie whizzed past me and snatched one of the bottles out of my hand, I headed over towards Rose, who was glaring at some broad that was running her hands up and down J's arm, laughing it up with the kid as he in return, looked a bit uncomfortable, and kind of...
Constipated.
I grinned as I handed her a bottle of Miller. "Rose, baby. What's up with the killer eyes?"
"Who is that bitch?" she spat, nodding towards the broad who was buttering up J.
As Blue Eyes joined us, I shrugged. Giving Rose some of his southern comfort, he placed his arm over her shoulders with a grin. "If looks could kill, darlin,' that lady would be long dead by now, don't you think?"
"Whatever," she whispered angrily, shrugging his arm off of her before she started making her way towards them, "A bitch should be informed, after all."
I rolled my eyes before I called for Emmett. He raised an eyebrow at me, and I nodded towards his woman, who reached the two kids with a flip of her hair. J grinned as he noticed her presence, pulling her towards him, to where she went willingly. "Hey, R Baby."
Rose placed one of her hands over his back while her other one held onto J's fingers that were hanging from over her shoulder. "And who the fuck are you?" she growled at the broad, who kind of...swallowed in reply, seeming as if she — all of a sudden — forgot what her own name was.
Em shook his head and laughed as he started heading over towards them, and when Blue Eyes went to follow, I grinned, taking a hold of his hand. "She's good, man," I told him while I pulled him towards the booth, "Rose does this shit with every single broad who tries to hook up with J, so trust me when I say that this is nothing new, and that you have nothing to worry about."
I couldn't really describe it, but it made me uncomfortable, nonetheless.

He raised an eyebrow. "If you say so?"
I nodded in reassurance, and when we reached the booth, Andy returned my smile with one of his own as he stood up and pulled me in for a hug. "Hey, B," he whispered into my ear before leaning back a bit to see me better, "I want you to meet someone."
"My name's Sarah," said someone started, standing up from Edward's lap, "I heard a lot about you."
Taking a hold of her hand as she held it out to me, I shook it. "Bella. Nice to meet you."
She stood there and smiled at me, in some type of a way that had Edward nudge the back of her leg with his foot. I raised an eyebrow at her, but she quickly looked away from me before she sat back down on the kid's lap. "Right-o," I mumbled to myself, taking a seat next to Blue Eyes.

Emmett was beyond intoxicated, trying to dance with Rose, who found his quote on quote 'skills' hilarious yet embarrassing as he gained a large audience that kept on cheering him on, laughing at him, not with him.
Pix was moving high-speed around Jake, who just stood there, looking kind of dizzy. A small grin would escape his lips every so often, but I'm pretty sure that the kid was going to vomit by the end of the night.
Blue Eyes laughed beside me, breaking me out of my thoughts. "He has no clue, yeah?"
I hummed in agreement as Jake placed his hand over his mouth. "No clue, whatsoever."
Sarah kept giving me these looks as the night continued, and when I would catch her eyes, she would quickly turn her attention back to Andy and continue with their conversation. And, I mean...you obviously know me by now, so it wouldn't be a shocker to find out that her staring began to irk my goddamn being after a certain amount of time.
So, I snapped, standing up with a growl of "Can I help you, man?"
The broad quickly followed suit, pushing herself away from Edward, who groaned as he tried to hold her down. "Excuse me?"
The broad quickly followed suit, pushing herself away from Edward, who groaned as he tried to hold her down. "Excuse me?"
"Do you find me attractive or some shit?" I asked with a raised eyebrow as Jasper and his cousin stood up from their seats, "Because on a serious note, you're irking my goddamn existence with the way that you're staring at me."
"I don't know who you're talking to like that," Sarah started with a growl, narrowing her eyes at me as Edward rolled his own at her, "But it sure as hell isn't me."
"You aren't someone special, bitch!" I yelled as Cullen grabbed a hold of her arm, internally praying that she would do something...anything. After she shoved his grip off of her, the kid growled and picked her up from behind. "That's what I thought!" I continued as he started carrying her thrashing body away from my killer moves, "You can't handle this!"
"I'll show you what I can handle!"
"You don't know me, you hooker! And, you're goddamn lucky for tha—" Blue Eyes interrupted my words with his hand over up my mouth, and as his other arm that was wrapped around my waist started pulling me back from charging after her and drop kicking a bitch, I gritted my teeth.
"Let's go and get a drink," he laughed against my ear, tightening his hold around me with both arms as I started thrashing around to get loose. "That's what you need right now, Brown Eyes. Some liquor that will do a body good, yeah?"
After we reached the bar, I yelled for the bartender as Blue Eyes placed me on top of one of the stools with pressed tight lips, trying to hide his amusement. When the man reached us, he leaned towards me and I shouted, still motherfucking ticked off. "Give me a goddamn Miller Lite, pronto!"
I mean, who did she think she was?
Right?
Mr. Too gentle to work at a goddamn bar leaned away some as he hissed, covering up his ears, acting like my voice was that painful. Blue Eyes laughed as he pulled out the stool that was placed next to me before taking a seat. "This elegant lady would like a Miller Lite, please. I'll have a Corona."
The bartender nodded at Jasper before he gave me the stink eye, walking away from the counter to get us our drinks. Turning my attention over to Blue Eyes, I growled. "Who does that chick think she is? I mean, Christ! The broad kept on staring at me, like I was the most interesting thing in the goddamn world."
He grinned at my spaz as the bartender came back with our drinks. When the kid raised a brow at me as he nodded towards the idiot, I smiled at my boy while I pulled a ten dollar bill out of my pocket to pay for our orders. "See, Blue Eyes...this is why I fucking love you," I whispered before kissing his cheek, "Letting a bitch pay for drinks, a goddamn gentleman in my opinion."
Jasper nodded before he took a swig of his alcohol. After placing the bottle on top of the counter, he shrugged as I laid two dollar bills on the marble for the bartender's tip. "About Sarah," he started as I brought my beer up to my mouth, "The chick's difficult, so if I were you, I just wouldn't pay her any attention."
"So you know her, yeah?"
"We're all good friends," he nodded.
I went to ask him more, but James interrupted my mouth from opening up to do so as he came up from behind us and patted Jasper's shoulder. "Hey, man. I haven't seen you in a while. What's up?"
He kept his eyes on mine for a couple of seconds before he looked over at James. "I've been busy with work, dude. You know how that can be."
My eyebrows scrunched together when I realized that I didn't even know what Jasper did for a goddamn living. "Hey, what do you do, anyway?"
He shrugged as he looked away from me. "Just bullshit, Brown Eyes." I raised a brow at the kid as he turned his attention over to the dance floor, changing the subject. "Jake kind of looks as if he's going to get sick, what with the way that my lady is handling him. You good here?"
I grinned as his eyes returned to my own. "Yeah, go. Control your woman for God's sake." He looked over at James in some uneasy type of a way that silently told me that he didn't trust the kid's mere presence around me, and I laughed at his brotherly ways, pushing him off of his stool. "Your lady awaits, man. Go."
He nodded, picking up his bottle of beer from its spot on the counter. Keeping his eyes on James, he addressed me. "I'll just be right over there, Bella."
I rolled my eyes at him as he pointed out just how close by he was going to be. "Go, Jasper."
James smirked as Blue Eyes walked away, taking a seat next to me. "Anyway, how have you been?"

"Good," I shrugged. "Same shit, different day."
He hummed in agreement. "So, you live with Edward now, yeah?"
I didn't know that if it was just me, but...
The kid sounded kind of angry about that shit for some reason.
Finding my bottle empty, I nodded as I called for the bartender. "Yep."
"Are you two together, or some shit?"
I laughed, ordering another beer. "Hell no."
James grinned as he grabbed the bartender's attention before he was able to walk away. "Can we get two shots of Bacardi, man?'

I snorted. "Oh, sure, thanks. I absolutely love Bacardi."
"It's good shit," he shrugged.
"It's good shit," he shrugged.
Taking a sip of my beer, I rolled my eyes. "What's the occasion?"
His fingers that were wrapped around the bottle of beer in his hand tightened. "How about you moving in with the E-Man, yeah?"
I raised an eyebrow at the glare that was brewing behind his eyelids. "Is there a problem, James? I mean, you don't sound too thrilled about the shit, for some reason."
"No problem at all," he answered as the shots arrived. After James slid one of the glasses over to me, he nodded towards the dance floor. "So that's your friend Rose, yeah?" Looking over my shoulder, I grinned. "How serious is she with Emmett?" he asked with a smirk against his mouth, his attention on the counter.
I laughed, nudging his shoulder as I turned back around. "You stand no chance, man. The broad would eat you alive."
He grinned. "To you and getting a new roommate," he whispered before tapping the shot glass that my fingers were wrapped around with his own, keeping his eyes on me as he tilted his head back to down the liquor.
"To me getting a new goddamn room mate," I cheered. Before the liquor was able to reach my lips, the glass was snatched out of my fingers. "Hey," I whispered, narrowing my eyes at Edward as he held the shot away from me when I went to grab it back. "What the hell are you doing, man?"
"Honestly, Bella. I'm not looking forward to having you throwing up all over the apartment tonight," he whispered with a soft laugh, waving the glass around. As it slipped from his fingers and fell down onto the floor where it shattered by his feet, he grimaced. Taking a seat on the stool that was placed on the other side of me, he called out for the bartender. "My bad. I'll get you guys another round, yeah?"
James stood up, shaking his head at Edward's offer. "No need, man. I gotta run anyway." Turning his attention to me, he grinned as he started backing away from the bar. "Don't be a stranger, B."
I nodded, kind of puzzled. After James left the two of us alone, I placed my arms across my chest and glared at Edward as the bartender came up to the counter. "What the hell is your deal, Cullen?"
I laughed, nudging his shoulder as I turned back around. "You stand no chance, man. The broad would eat you alive."

Ignoring my question, he ordered two beers, holding a twenty dollar bill out towards the guy. When he went to reach for the cash, Edward grabbed a hold of his hand with a tense jaw. "You need to keep your fucking eyes open after you give out drinks, you goddamn idiot," he hissed as the bartender's eyes widened from the pressure of the kid's grip.
I grimaced, trying to pry his fingers off of the so called idiot's hand. "Edward, what are you doing, man?" I whispered as I nervously looked around to see if we picked up anyone's attention, "Let the fuck go."
After dropping his hold, Edward glared at the kid while he walked away, the twenty dollar bill forgotten as he rubbed his hand. "He spiked your drink, Bae."

"What?"
"James spiked your motherfucking drink," he repeated as he turned his irritation over to me. "Didn't anyone ever teach you to never accept drinks from strangers?"
"James isn't a stranger," I argued, "And how do you even know that he did that?"
"I saw it," he whispered, looking away from me.
I shook my head as I stood up. "That's bullshit, he wouldn't d—"
"You believing that he wouldn't do that is bullshit," he corrected as he stood up to face me. "Christ, Bae. Why can't you just trust me? James' isn't a good person. I'm not just telling you this for shits and giggles, and that's precisely how you're fucking taking it, man." I shook my head and pushed myself past him as I walked away, ignoring the kid's footsteps as I heard him following me. Before I was able to reach the area where everyone was at, he stopped my movements by grabbing a hold of my arm. "Can you just listen to me for one goddamn second, Bella?"
"Edward, why would he even do that?" I asked as I turned around, "It doesn't make any sense to me."
Letting go of me, he shrugged as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "He wants something out of you," he whispered, his jaw tense. "What that something is, I don't fucking know, but...I don't trust this guy being in your space for a goddamn minute."
A lot of shit just...didn't make any sense.
Why James would do that to begin with, I didn't understand.
I thought that we were cool.

Did the kid seriously try to drug me, back there?
Or, is Edward acting out, like he always does?
He claims that he's protecting me most of the time, but in reality?
The kid's just...consuming me.
Meeting his eyes again, I nodded towards the entrance of the club. "Look, I'm just going to head home."

"Give me three minutes and I'll walk you out, yeah?"
I nodded, and as he turned around to head over towards the bathrooms, I walked over to our friends to tell them my goodnights, that I was going home. My drunk as all hell brother offered to see me out, but I told him that Edward already beat him to it and he grumbled a response that was incomprehensible to understand in return.
"Are you sure that you're good to drive home later on?" I asked Edward, looking over my shoulder as the both of us headed towards coat check. "I mean, if you're not...I guess that that's just too bad," I teased, "Don't be calling me and interrupting my slumber because of your irresponsible ways."
He grinned as we reached the counter. "I'm good, Bella. I'm done drinking for the night anyway, so thanks for your concern. I see where we stand, as close friends."
"Give me my shit," I ordered with narrowed eyes that were directed at Mr. Coat Rack.

He nodded, total concentration written across his face as he very carefully placed my hoodie over one of his stretched out arms. Edward snorted beside me as I inspected the fabric, a smile forming against my lips when I saw that everything seemed to be intact. After shoving it on, I patted the top of the dude's head. "You did a good job, man. Lucky for you, you get to see another day."
"It's just a fucking hoo—"
"Don't you even think about finishing that statement," I growled, interrupting the kid's lie as one of my hands found its place over his mouth. "It's not just a hoodie, Edward. It's more than that, and it's special to me."
He held his hands up in the air as he rolled his eyes at me, and I dropped my hand with a satisfied nod. Trying to hide the smile that was dying to make an appearance over his mouth, he pulled the front door open and held it for me so that I could walk through. "You're kind of ridiculous, Bae. You have to know that, right?"
"You're kind of annoying," I replied, flipping him off as I stepped outside, "You have to know that, right?"

"So, you're good, yeah?" he asked when we reached my truck.
"I'm good," I told him as I pulled the driver's side door open and leaned in. After putting the key into the ignition and starting her up, I turned the heat on so that the truck could warm up a bit. Leaning back out, I shut the door behind me and faced him again. "Thanks for earlier, you know, with James."
He shrugged. "No worries. I'll see you later. Lock the doors when you get in, yeah?"
I rolled my eyes as I placed my arms across my chest. "Yes, da—" As soon as the kid's lips pressed themselves against my own, my words died, and when my fingers went to the back of his head with the intent of tugging on his hair to bring him closer to me, he pulled himself away from my existence and smirked at my incredulous looking being. "What the hell was that?"
"It was just a peck, Bae. No cooties, remember?"
I grinned as he started backing away from me. "Be careful getting home, Slickward."
"Always am," he replied, a crooked smile across those lips of his as he turned around.
