I woke up the next morning to Rose's ring tone blaring in my ear.
Literally.
Why the phone was underneath my ear, I couldn't tell you.
Literally.
Why the phone was underneath my ear, I couldn't tell you.
Flipping it open, I kept my eyes closed. "Yeah?"
"Would it be weird if I told you that I wanted to just ravage your motherfucking ass?"
I grinned as I opened my eyes. "Oh, and why is that?"
"Hmm, maybe it's because you're fucking brilliant?"
Rubbing my eyes with my other hand, I laughed. "Do go on, Rose."
"I might as well sum you up as fucking perfection."
I hummed as I stretched. "It sounds like you know your shit."
"Honey B, I don't know what you did, but you're a genius, you know that?"
"I take it that Em came home last night?" I guessed, pushing myself off of my couch. She hummed and I grimaced as I stumbled towards my bathroom. "Shit, how much was destroyed?"
She laughed. "You should see our bedroom, or...what previously looked like our bedroom."
I grinned as I stepped up to the counter. "Well my brother can fuck with me all that he wants, but to do the shit with my bitch, I'm not having it. He got what he deserved."
"I fucking love you."
I smirked, putting toothpaste on my toothbrush. "Ditto, Rosie."
She paused. "I'll let that fly for now."
"Touché."
"So," she started as I brushed my teeth, "Who the fuck is this Andy kid?"
I groaned around my brush, rolling my eyes. "Soom ki I knoo."
"You're disgusting," she laughed. "I'll see you at work, yeah?"
Rinsing my mouth out, I nodded. "Alright."
A couple of hours before work, I got ready for the night so that I didn't have to worry about the shit afterwards and headed downstairs to get something to munch on. As I walked into the kitchen, Phil slammed into me, heading out. "I'm sorry," I mumbled as I backed up into the living room. "I didn't know that you were home."
He hummed as he took a step towards me, letting the kitchen door close behind him. "But I am."
I whispered his name — my voice shaken, showing the fear that I tried to hide — when my back hit the wall. "I have to go to work."
Placing his hands against the wall, he trapped me in. "Not right now, you don't."
Hearing heavy footsteps coming from the kitchen, relief flooded my system for the interruption, but as I noticed that Phil didn't seem to give a shit, my thought of 'Thank God' vanished. Turning my attention to the door when it opened, my eyebrows scrunched together at the guy who I didn't recognize, seeing a menacing smirk overtake his features as his gaze landed on me. "You were right, Mr. Dwyer. The girl is fucking exquisite."
I must be having some goddamn nightmare.
I gritted my teeth as he started heading our way. "Don't do it, motherfucker."
As he came up to us and stood next to him, Phil raised an eyebrow at the asshole who I have never saw before. "Do you want a taste?"
His friend smiled, and I fucking screamed as I lifted my arms, more than ready to fight my way out of this goddamn house. They both laughed as they pinned me up against the wall, together. "No!" I shouted as I lifted my legs to kick them, only to have Phil press his lower body into mine. "Please...stop!" I begged.
The buddy let go of me after giving me a final shove. Looking over at Phil, he nodded towards the ceiling with a lick of his lips. "Let's take her upstairs. I definitely want a taste."
As soon as I felt Phil's grip around my arm leave, I took off. Before I was able to reach the front door, he grabbed a hold of my hoodie and pulled me back. I growled as he threw me over his shoulder, laughing at my try of escape. Grabbing onto his hair, I tugged on it and he hissed as he took a hold of my hands to keep them still. "You're only making this harder on yourself, Isabella."
I ignored his threat by thrashing around as he led the three of us upstairs.
When we reached my bedroom, the other fucker opened my door and Phil carried me inside. He lowered me down onto the floor and I tried making a run for it, once again. The unknown man grabbed a hold of my waist and tackled me down onto the floor, knocking the ever loving wind out of my body. "Please," I choked out as I turned my head to the side. "P—ple—please, don't do this."
After flipping me around, he straddled me. "You're energetic. I like that."
"Fuck you," I spat as I went to scratch his motherfucking face clear off. Grabbing a hold of my wrists, he slammed my hands down on the hardwood floor, above my head. "Get away from me! Stop, you...shit!"
"No," Phil whispered, his voice composed. I looked over at him as he sat down on my couch, and with a wide grin, he leaned back, nodding at the guy who was on top of me. "Do whatever you please, Kevin."
Oh God.
I let out a scream that I didn't even know I possessed, only for him to punch my cheek. My eyes widened in shock as I cried out in pain, and he smirked at me, taking a hold of both of my wrists with one hand. I growled and started thrashing around, seeing his other one lower the zipper of his pants. "Stay still!"
"I'll fucking kill you!" I spat, ignoring his demand.
He winked at my words as Phil stood up with a laugh. After walking over to us, he knelt down above my head and took a hold of my wrists. "I'll hold her down, man. Go ahead."
At his help, Kevin kept his eyes on mine as he shoved his pants down his hips, letting them stay around his knees. My vision started going crazy with spots as I started begging for them to just...stop, but they only mocked me in return.
As my jeans were practically torn off of my hips and legs, my skin underneath the rough texture felt raw. My eyes penetrated his with death as he ripped my underwear off of me, and as I tried to close my legs underneath his weight, he smiled as he sat down on top of my thighs, preventing my denial. "This is all about me, baby girl," he whispered, taking the condom that Phil offered him before rolling it on. "I'm not here to please you."
"Fuck you," I hissed, my voice venomous as I struggled against Phil's hold above me.
Leaning over me, he hissed back, his breath over my face making me nauseous. I cried out, my voice nonexistent, as he slammed into me with no goddamn mercy. "No!" he grunted, his dark eyes on my wide ones while my entire body resisted his thrusts. "Fuck you!"
Phil laughed above me, the sound dull to my ears, as his friend let out a growl of satisfaction. "I told you that she was tight, man."
I was utterly numb as I collapsed, my energy of fight, gone.
Phil's grip around my wrists, it wasn't needed.
I had nothing left.
I turned my head to the side and let my tears fall off of my warm cheeks, wetting the carpet. As I caught sight of Phil, who took a seat next to us, I stopped breathing as his bright blue eyes ran over...parts...of me that I never, ever wanted him to see.
His mouth was moving, but I blocked out any noise.
As his eyes met mine, I looked away, simply because they reminded me too much of Emmett, and even though I despised him right now, he was the only one who I had left.
Tears drowned my face as the motion of Phil's fingers over the zipper of his pants caught my attention. My mouth opened as silent cries of everything poured out of my tender throat when I saw those fingers lower the metal. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. His eyes, hypnotized by the act that was going on above me, as he pulled himself out of his boxers and began to stroke...it.
His wants and needs being met, while mine were taken away from me.
This is my life.
My stepfather groaning in pleasure as he watched — with interest — the pain that his friend was forcing me, his step daughter, with.
My life.
Turning my head away from him and to the other side, I noticed an old picture laying against the carpet, underneath my bed. It was of my Pop and I, taken when I was around six years old. We were in a pool and Renee captured the moment of Charlie lifting me out of the crystal clear blue water that surrounded us, getting ready to throw me up in the air.
I closed my eyes, because I can still remember that day like it was yesterday.
-Start flashback-
"Kiddo, come on," he laughed at the expression of pure fear that was written across my face. "You have to learn how to swim someday, you know."
Kicking my legs back and forth in the water that was below me as I sat on the edge of the pool, I shook my head. "It's too deep," I complained. "I'll go in another day."
I had swimmers over my upper arms and Renee was sitting down on one of the lawn chairs that were placed behind me, drinking lemonade out of a straw. "Honey, stop trying to persuade her to have fun," she told him, her voice filled with delight. "The little girl is a scaredy cat."
I looked over my shoulder and glared at her. "Am not."
"Well prove it then, missy," she whispered with a shrug, her lips pursed together.
"Whatever, missy," I grumbled, turning my attention back to a grinning daddy. "What's so funny?"
"Bella is a scaredy cat, Bella is a scaredy cat," he whispered dramatically, keeping his voice 'low.'
I stood up and placed my hands over my hips. "Am not, daddy."
Raising one bushy eyebrow at me, he smiled. "Well, prove it to me then, pumpkin."
"Fine!" I shouted before I growled, throwing my hands up in the air as I looked at the pool. "It's deep!"
He walked through the water until he came up to the edge that I was standing over. "Sit down and look at me for a second, kiddo."
I did as he told me to before I placed my palms over his hands that were against my thighs. "I'm looking at you."
His moustache twitched as he grinned. "Don't you trust me?"
"With everything," I answered automatically, offended that he even asked me that.
Brushing away a strand of hair that stuck to my forehead from the heat, he nodded. "And you know that I wouldn't let anything happen to you, right?"
I lowered my head. "Yes, daddy."
He grabbed a hold of my chin and lifted it so that I was looking at him. "I'll always catch you, kiddo. No matter what you're falling from, I'll always be here with arms wide open."
I smiled. "I know that you will."
Moving away from me, he grinned. "Come on, now. Jump. I'm getting old here, you know."
"You're already old," I shot back before I started laughing at the shocked expression that came over his face.
Looking over at mom, he frowned. "You heard that, mama bear? Your daughter called me old."
Mom shrugged as she kept her eyes on the magazine that she was reading. "Well, she is my child," she whispered as I stood up. "She knows her stuff, Charlie."
"I'll show you old," he whispered, his eyes looking at her all...weird.
Keeping her attention on the magazine, she smirked. "Can't wait."
Annoyed at their sneakiness, I jumped without warning and closed my eyes, not worried about a single thing, because there was no doubt within me of where I would land.
My hands were ready to receive, and his hands were ready to give.
He caught me with an oomph before I wrapped my arms around his neck. Leaning back a little, I opened my eyes and narrowed them at him as he laughed, his attention on mom. "Sweetheart, what exactly did you feed my daughter before we came to the pool today, a bowling ball?"
I growled, a smile threatening to escape my lips at his teasing. "I'm not that heavy!"
He tossed me onto his back, acting like my swimmers were getting in his way. "Useless..."
I couldn't help the snort that left me because of his dramatics. "Daddy!"
After he swam a few laps with my arms and legs clinging onto him, he pulled me around so that I was facing him again. "Now, lets take these stupid things off," he whispered, starting with one swimmer.
"No way!" I yelled, pushing his hands away. "Not happening."
He rolled his eyes. "Kiddo, I won't let anything happen to you."
Of course he won't. I trust him. Entirely. "Okay," I whispered.
He took them off and threw them over his shoulder before he lifted me up in the air, all the way so that the tips of my toes were barely touching the water. "Daddy, don't even think about tossing me."
He pursed his lips as he threw me up in the air before catching me, and I groaned, my nails digging into his skin as I tightened my grip around his neck. "God! You never listen to me!"
He whispered my name, his voice soft, as he leaned back. "You can't always be terrified of going under, baby."
"I know, I know," I said, quickly. "But I'm not ready right now."
After taking my hair tie that was wrapped around my wrist, he pulled my hair up and put it into a painful ponytail, causing me to grimace at his daddy ways. "You know, you might really enjoy it."
I shook my head as I tugged on my ponytail a little bit, loosening it up. "No."
"Yes, kiddo."
I narrowed my eyes at him. "No, daddy."
And as he threw me up in the air, my narrowed eyes widened before they closed, waiting for impact, but he caught me before my shoulders hit the water. "Daddy! Come on!" I shouted, letting go of him as I brought my hands up to my face to wipe my wet eyes. "Stop it! That's not cool!"
"Come on, daughter of mine. On the count of three."
Letting my fingers tangle themselves in his hair, I huffed. "You promise that I won't drown or get hurt?"
"Never would I let you drown or get hurt," his eyes told mine.
"Okay," I whispered, defeated.
"One," he started.
"Two," I said next.
"THREE!" we both yelled together.
He threw me up in the air as if my body was weightless, and as I felt his hold around me leave, I closed my eyes, ready to hit the water. As soon as I went under, a chill ran through my entire system, but that didn't stop my arms from spreading apart, or my legs from kicking as fast as they possibly could.
The chlorine stung when I opened my eyes, but I saw him and my fear vanished with a smile as he too returned the gesture, small bubbles leaving his mouth while he moved his thumb in an upward motion, silently telling me to follow the direction.
I nodded in determination as I closed my eyes.
Letting my legs kick harder, and my arms swing stronger.
Letting my legs kick harder, and my arms swing stronger.
I'm doing it.
I'm really...doing it.
When I reached the surface, I held my hands out, and he didn't disappoint as his own fingers wrapped around my wrists before they pulled me into his chest. "Daddy!" I laughed, taking a hold of his face. "I did it, I did it!"
"I never doubted you, kiddo," he proudly whispered.
-End Flashback-
My teeth chattered as I opened my eyes.
Lowering my gaze, I cringed when I found myself completely naked.
My body hurt, everywhere.
I wrapped my arms around myself as my pain shook, and I cried.
Not silently, but not loudly, either.
I just…cried.
Hearing my cell phone ringing, my eyes snapped open as I groaned, not realizing that I fell asleep. As I slowly and carefully pushed myself up from the carpet, I gritted my teeth, trying to dismiss the pain that was dominating my entire being. Grabbing onto my discarded jeans, I dug my phone out from one of the pockets before flipping it open. "Yeah?"
"Bells, where the fuck are you? It's eleven."
I cleared my throat. "Jake?"
"Who else would it be?"
Looking over at my alarm clock, I groaned. "Shit, I fell asleep. Just give me thirty minutes, I'll be there."
"Sounds good. Don't rush here and be careful, alright?"
"Sure, sure. I'll see you in a little bit," I mumbled before flipping the phone shut.
After taking a shower and getting dressed, I left, climbing out of my window.
After taking a shower and getting dressed, I left, climbing out of my window.
I walked strait over to the bar, not bothering with clocking in as I saw how packed it was. Not noticing J standing around, I assumed that he was in the back with Sam, because Rose and the Pix were the only ones who were serving drinks.
As I was in the middle of pouring myself a drink, Rose nudged my shoulder and I looked over at her as I replaced the cap to the bottle. "You're late," she stated without looking at me, her attention on the rag that she was wiping the counter with.
"I know," I mumbled, bringing the glass up to my mouth to take a long sip of the much needed whiskey. "I got held up, I'm sorry."
As she looked at me, her hand froze over the rag. "What the hell happened, B?"
I raised an eyebrow. "What?"
She grabbed onto my jaw and hissed. "What the hell happened to your goddamn face?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked, leaning away from her grip and livid eyes.
Pixie gasped as she came over to us. "What happened, Bella Boo?"
"What the hell am I missing here?" I asked the both of them as they stared at my existence.
"Did you look into a mirror?" Rose asked with her hands over her hips as Pixie stated, "You have cuts all over your cheeks."
Oh, fuck my life, man.
They must have started hitting me.
I didn't feel anything.
Lowering my head, I gritted my teeth as I hit the counter. "Shit on my being."
"I don't know what the hell is going on here," Pix whispered, breaking the silence. "But Rose seems to know, seeing as to how she looks just as scared as you do, Bella Boo. I suggest that you leave before Jake comes back up here, because he's going to flip a lid as soon as he sees you."
I growled before Rose grabbed onto my hand. "What are you doing?" I asked her as she started pulling me out of the bar. "I need to work, Rose. I can't just leave."
Looking over her shoulder, she ignored me. "Pixie, cover me!"
"Got it!"
After dragging me outside and over to my truck, she let go of my hand and pulled my door open. "Go, Honey B. I got your shift."
I looked around the parking lot and shook my head, seeing all of the cars that were parked out here. "I can't just leave you guys this busy, Rose. It's not a big d—"
"Do you want to see the dogs reaction?" she asked me in an angry whisper, pointing towards the club. "If he takes one look at your face, he will be on the motherfucking news by tomorrow morning."
I growled, running a hand down my face angrily. "Fuck, Rose."
Pushing me into my truck, she shook her head. "Go, I got it." After Rose shut me in, I rolled the window down as she started heading back towards the club. "I'm going to call you after my shift, and you better answer, so help me God!"
I pulled over a few blocks away from my house and parked on a side street.
I didn't want to go home, because I was more than terrified.
I was fucking petrified, of my own house.
I didn't want to go home, because I was more than terrified.
I was fucking petrified, of my own house.
The house that Charlie built with his own goddamn hands.
The house that held so many good memories.
Why did he have to leave me? He fucking promised me.
I leaned back into my seat and closed my eyes.
I kept the rear view mirror turned up, afraid of catching my reflection.
I wonder what he sees from above. Is he even fucking watching over me?
I doubt it. I mean, if he was, why would he let this shit hap—
Fuck this.
Opening my eyes, I growled as I grabbed a hold of the mirror.
I didn't even...recognize myself.
My left cheek was stained yellow, telling me that it was going to turn into a bruise sooner or later. My bottom lip had a cut that ran down the middle, with dried blood along it. My one eyebrow was motherfucking swollen. Running my fingers over it, I hissed at the tenderness before I punched the mirror away. Pounding my fists against the stupid steering wheel that didn't deserve it, I cried.
I can't do this.
I'm not strong enough.
I don't want to feel this motherfucking way.
I needed a break.
I needed...something.
After starting the truck back up, I drove off towards Andy's house.
I needed to feel anything but how the fuck I was feeling right now.
I stepped out of my truck and slammed the door shut behind me, not caring that I probably looked like shit as I walked up to the porch steps, not bothering to look around me. After three loud — impatient — knocks, the music that was previously playing from inside stopped and I looked away as I heard footsteps coming towards the door.
"Well, isn't it nice to see you here."
"James."
He grimaced as I faced him. "Damn, Bella. What the fuck happened to your face?"
I shook my head as I raised my hoodie over my hair. "Where's Andy?"
"Beer stop," he answered as he stepped to the side. "Come in."
Stepping inside, I looked around the living room and exhaled in relief, seeing it empty. After he closed the door behind him, I kept my eyes on James as he walked over to the couch to take a seat. "Come on," he told me. I raised a brow. "Relax," he added, nodding at the spot next to him.
"Look," I started, wanting to get the bull out of the way. "My day was shit, so I would appreciate it if y—"
He cut me off with a wave of his hand. "Bella, I'm not trying to start shit, I'm just saying...chill out." I nodded before I walked over to the couch. After taking a seat, I leaned back into the cushions and placed my arms across my chest as he looked over his shoulder, shaking his head. "You're tense as shit and you look like shit."
I smiled sarcastically. "Yeah, well, I appreciate your compliment."
Leaning back but giving me the space that I wanted, he grinned. "It wasn't a compliment."
I gasped. "Really?" I mocked.
He raised an eyebrow. "You need something to help you relax, yeah?"
Closing my eyes, I shook my head. "I don't think anything can relax my motherfucking nerves right now."
As he stood up from his spot next to me, I opened my eyes at the movement and raised a brow at him as he brought a baggie out of his back jean pocket. Sitting down again, he looked over his shoulder and mimicked my expression as he emptied the contents onto the mirror that was placed on the table. "You in?"
Sitting up, I looked at the white powder nervously. "I never tried it."
Using the long edge of his pack of cigarettes, he started making lines. "There's a first time for everything, B." Leaning back again, I shrugged and he smirked, turning his attention back to his substance. "Yeah?"
"I guess."
Leaning towards me, he dug a dollar bill out of his pocket with a smile. "Now, that's what I'm talking about."
I kept my eyes on the bill while he rolled it up. As he held it out towards me, I shook my head. "You first."
As soon as he lowered his head towards the table, the front door swung open. Seeing Edward, Andy, and Blue Eyes walk inside, I groaned at the same time that James gave them a quick nod in greeting. "It looks like I'm not trying shit," I mumbled to myself as I placed my arms across my chest.
Blue Eyes walked over to the recliner, keeping his attention on the kid who was sitting next to me, while Andy took a hold of the case of beer that Edward shoved into his chest. "What the hell is going on, man?"
James grinned as he nodded towards the mirror. "Come take a hit, dude. Relax."
Edward narrowed his eyes at me and nodded towards the door that was behind him when James leaned down and breathed in the powder. I shook my head just as the kid next to me came back up, his eyes closed as he rubbed his nose. "Good shit," he whispered.
I kept my eyes on him as he leaned back — in his own little world — and didn't notice that Edward came up to me until he grabbed a hold of my jaw to turn it in his direction, causing me to hiss from the unnecessary tight grip. "What the fuck happened to your face?" he asked as he took a seat next to me.
I pushed his hand away, returning his glare with one of my own. "What the fuck do you think happened to my face?"
Shaking his head, he leaned back. "Fuck, Bae. You need to find somewhere else to live."
"Stop calling me Bae," I snapped, causing him to open his eyes.
He held his hands up and looked over at Blue Eyes. "Fine." Giving his cousin a smirk, he continued. "Bae."
I shook my head at his immaturity before I looked over at James, who raised an eyebrow at me. "You ready?"
I nodded and he grinned while he started rolling up the dollar bill again. Edward pushed himself away from the back of the couch, placing us shoulder to shoulder, as he raised an eyebrow at James. "What is she ready for?"
"Bella here," he whispered, nodding towards me, "is breaking her motherfucking cherry."
Feeling Edward's body tense up, I looked over at him and scrunched my eyebrows together as he narrowed his eyes at Jasper, who shook his head in return. James nudged my shoulder before I returned my attention back to him. "Go ahead," he told me, taking a hold of my hand and placing the bill on it.
"How do I…do it?"
He nodded as he took the bill back, ready to show me. "You just inhale the shit through your n—"
Edward stood up, interrupting him as he took a hold of my arm and made me follow. "There's no need for your demonstration, James. Bella isn't participating."
"I'll participate in anything that I want to fucking participate in," I told him with narrowed eyes as I pushed his hand away from me. Taking a seat, I shook my head as I grabbed the bill out of James' fingers. "You're not my goddamn parent, Edward."
Edward laughed as he bent down, placing his hands against my hips. "No, Bae," he whispered in my face with a glare, "I don't think that you understand." When he lifted me up in the air and threw me over his shoulder, I growled. "You're not fucking participating."
Gripping onto the back of Edward's jacket as he led us towards the front door, I saw James stand up from the couch with a gun in his hands. "Edward, stop," I whispered, keeping my eyes on the pistol. "Seriously...stop."
Looking over his shoulder, he listened to my words as Blue Eyes stood up from the recliner that he was sitting on. "Come on, man," he whispered while we all heard the safety being clicked off. "Chill out with that, James."
The gun moved from Edward to Jasper. "Bella said that she wanted to fucking participate. What is this shit?"
Edward lowered me down onto the floor and pushed me behind him. "James, you know that you weren't right about the shit," he started as my fingers grabbed a hold of his arm. "The chick came here vulnerable, and you took advantage of that."
I gritted my teeth as I tugged on his arm. "I'm not vuln—"
Looking over his shoulder, he interrupted me with a tense jaw. 'Really?' he mouthed.
James shrugged as he sat back down, keeping the gun pointed at Blue Eyes. "Whatever, E. She wants to try the shit, and she will." Raising an eyebrow, he continued. "Unless the girl is a fucking narc. If that's the case, we have bigger problems here."
Fuck.
My curiosity of the shit disappeared.
I didn't want to do it anymore.
Jasper sat back down, keeping his gaze on James as he started lining up more shit. As Edward looked over his shoulder, I shook my head, keeping my eyes on the kid who had a gun while his attention was on his mission.
Taking a hold of my hand, Edward led us back to the couch and took a seat next to James, leaving me to take his previous spot. I watched in nervousness as he patted James' shoulder. "Sorry, man. I'm acting like a bitch matters to me and shit. Hit me."
Hit me?
"It's all good, dude," James replied with a shrug before he reached across Edward and held the dollar bill out to me. "But, ladies first."
I went to take it — seeing as to how the kid had a gun and wasn't afraid to use it — but Edward easily pushed my hand away and took the bill instead. "You know not to break a lady's cherry with blow, James." Raising an eyebrow at him, he grinned. "Don't act like you don't remember what happened last time."
"That broad got carried away," he laughed, taking the bill from Edward's fingers. Reaching over him again, he gave it to me. "I never told her to take that much, but she was fucking greedy and did the shit anyway. That wasn't our problem. Go ahead."
Grabbing the bill out of my hand, Edward shook his head at James, who raised an eyebrow at him. "You can't just hit the shit once, man. You know that."
"Alright," James laughed, taking the bill back. "I don't feel like dealing with a virgin who's new to the shit."
Edward patted my thigh before he stood up, and I followed suit, more than ready to get out of here. Looking down at James, he nodded towards the door as he held his fist out to him. "I'm going to take her home. You need anything while I'm out?"
He shook his head as he pounded it. "I'm good, man. I'll be here, so hit me up if you need me."
Edward nodded before he looked over at me. "You ready?"
I nodded as I looked over at Jasper. "I'll see you later, Blue Eyes."
He grinned at me. "I'll see you in a little, crazy girl."
After Edward placed his hand over my lower back, I headed towards the front door with him following behind me. As soon as we stepped out of the house, he mumbled something under his breath, causing my eyebrow to raise as I looked over my shoulder. "What?"
"What?" he hissed, looking at me with disbelief. "Are you seriously asking me what?"
I shook my head, not in the mood with the bullshit that he was giving me as I walked over to my truck. When I opened the drivers side door, I closed my eyes in frustration as he turned me around with his hands over my hips. "I can't do this shit with you tonight," I growled. "So, please, don't even start with —"
He pushed me up against my truck after he slammed the door shut, and I gritted my teeth as he trapped me within his space as he placed his hands over my roof. "Christ, Bae! You almost got us killed back there! What the fuck were you thi—"
I know, Edward!" I cried out, interrupting him as I pushed on his chest. "I wasn't thinking, I know!"
His expression changed from pissed off to worry as soon as he noticed the tears that started falling from my eyes. Bringing his hands over to my face, he mumbled a curse word as his thumbs ran along my cheeks. "Tell me what's going on, Bella."
"I don't fucking know," I grumbled as I placed my forehead against his chest. "I just...I can't do this anymore."
He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me for a couple of seconds, letting me calm down. As I leaned back and lifted my head, he shook his own as his eyes roamed my face. "Tell me what the fuck happened?"
I let out a short laugh as I rolled my eyes. "Everything happened."
He nodded without me having to explain to him what everything was, before he placed his forehead over my own. "Let's get out of here, yeah?"
I closed my eyes as I nodded. "Yeah."
