Chapter 10: First Sleepover

As we arrived at some huge motherfucking house that was in the middle of nowhere, I suddenly noticed that the leather seat that Edward was sitting on was intact. "I see that you had your car fixed."

He narrowed his eyes at me. "It was traumatic. I still can't believe that you actually did that shit."

I shrugged as he pulled into a garage and parked. "You deserved it."

After stepping out, he walked over to my car door and pulled it open. "Come on."

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Uh, what?"

He groaned. "Bella, I don't have all night. Get out."

"Where the fuck are we?"

He shrugged as he held out one of his hands. "My house."

"Your house?"

"It's technically my parent's house," he answered, grabbing a hold of my hand. After pulling me out of the car and shutting the door behind me, he hit a button on the keypad and set the alarm before he started leading us towards the porch. When we reached it, I tightened my fingers around his own when he went to let go. "You good?"

"Are your parent's home?" I asked nervously.

"They're most likely passed out," he said, pulling me to the front door.

As he went to unlock it, I tugged his hand. "Edward, I don't really feel comfortable."

"Why?"

"What if they're awake?"

He scrunched his eyebrows together. "And?"

Fuck.

"Look, I just don't want them to think of me like any other girls you bring ho—"

His hand covered my mouth and I raised an eyebrow at his grin. "They won't."

"Sorry," I mumbled against his palm. "I just don't li—"

He shook his head as he lowered his hand. "No worries, Bella. Really."

"You sure?" I asked with a grimace.

He smiled. "Positive."

I nodded, unsure, and he rolled his eyes at me as he unlocked the front door. As soon as he pulled me inside, I heard laughter coming from the kitchen. "Edward," I groaned, "Come on."

He groaned back, mocking me, before he smirked, kicking his sneaks off. "Ma!" I heard a loud gasp and then more laughter, so I ran behind Edward. He looked over his shoulder and grinned as I grabbed a hold of his hand. "You alright?"

"Shut up," I whispered, causing him to laugh at me. "You're such an asshole."

"Bambino!" a voice echoed throughout the room. "I missed you!"

"Hey, Ma," he whispered before he groaned as I felt the lady jump his ass. Placing my forehead against his back, I narrowed my eyes at the kid's idea of bringing me here. "I missed you, too."

"Who do you have back there?" I heard her ask him as I gripped onto Edward's tee.

With a grin, he pulled me forward. "Ma, this is Bella. She's a friend of mine."

She smiled at me as she held out her arms. I raised an eyebrow at Edward and he rolled his eyes at me in response before he pushed me towards her, where she pulled me in for a hug. "Uhm..."

This isn't awkward.

Placing my arms around her, I patted her back, not used to this type of shit. Leaning back after a couple of seconds, she grabbed a hold of my cheeks. "Such a beautiful name," she whispered. "It fits you."

My cheeks burned as she let go of my face. "Uh, thanks, that's a...nice...thing to say."

"My name's Esme. Boring, I know, but what can I do, right?"

I grinned as she took a hold of my hands. Turning her attention to her son, she narrowed her eyes at him. "Where has that damn nephew of mine been?" she asked. "I haven't seen Jasper in a month!"

I snorted. "He's probably at some convenience store, sweating profusely while getting me maxi pads," I blurted out before I quickly covered my mouth.

Did I really just say that to his motherfucking mother?

Esme laughed as she waved her hands up in the air, dismissing my embarrassment, while Edward grinned and lowered his head, shaking it. "No worries, dear. Jasper Whitlock is an idiot, though, so he'll probably end up getting you incontinence pads for adults."

I nodded, totally agreeing with her. "You might be right."

"Are you kids hungry?"

I shook my head at the same time that Edward did, and she smirked.

Christ.

"Well do as you kids do then," she whispered before giving Edward's cheek a loud kiss.

"Shi—" he paused at her glare before he corrected himself with a groan, wiping his cheek. "Shoot, Ma."

She shrugged as she walked away from us. I looked over at Edward with pursed lips as he looked away from me, running his fingers through his hair in embarrassment. Standing up on my tippy toes, I grinned as I grabbed a hold of his cheeks to give him a big sloppy kiss, and he narrowed his eyes at me before pushing me away. "Shut up."

I laughed before I placed my hands into the pockets of my hoodie, looking around. "Nice house, man."

"Come on," he whispered, nodding towards the steps. "Let's watch a move in my room, yeah?"

I nodded and followed him upstairs. "Sounds good."

Stopping at the door that was at the end of the hallway, he pulled it open and stepped inside. "This is me," he whispered before looking down at my chucks. "Uh, just take off your shit before you come in."

My eyebrow raised as I looked around the bedroom.

Hmm, he's a neat freak.

Returning my attention back to him, I rolled my eyes as I noticed the glare in his. Kicking off my chucks, I held my hands up in the air. "Alright, chill out, freak."

He walked over to the TV that was pushed up against the wall as I stepped inside. After turning it on, I snorted at the kid's rudeness as he shoved a random movie into the DVD player, not at all bothering to ask me if I wanted to watch it. "Oh sure, dude," I whispered. "That's cool, I guess."

"Oh shit," he laughed, standing up. "You actually wanted to watch a movie?"

I narrowed my eyes at him as he grabbed the remote. "You suggested that that was what we were going to do," I told him as the movie started. "What did you think that we were going to do here?"

After turning down the volume, he walked over to his bed and took a seat. "Talk."

Motherfuck.

"Talk?" I asked.

He nodded as he moved over to the middle. "Yeah, Bae. Talk."

I turned around and wrapped my fingers around the door knob, but before I was able to turn it, the kid's voice stopped me. "Bella, it's just me. I'm not going to hound you. I just want to talk."

I looked over my shoulder.

"How about we play twenty one questions, yeah?"

"Twenty one questions?"

"We ask each other twenty one questions, about whatever," he explained. "We get one pass, so, if we don't feel comfortable talking about something that was asked, we don't have to talk about it." I narrowed my eyes at him as I turned around, and he grinned as he held his hands up. "Innocent fun, Bae. That's all that this is."

I nodded. "It better be all that this is."

He patted the spot that was across from him and I walked over, skeptical about the shit. After climbing onto the bed and getting situated, he started. "Tell me something real."

I raised an eyebrow. "Something real?"

He nodded as he scooted back, placing himself against his headboard. "Something that a lot of people don't know about you."

I looked away, thinking that this was more than fucking weird as he patiently waited for me to answer. Bending my knees, I returned my attention back to him as I placed my chin over them. "I'm terrified of pools, I guess."

He raised an eyebrow. "Terrified of pools?"

"Yeah," I whispered. "I mean, I'm okay if I see them, but...to go in one...and actually feel the water around me," I paused, shaking my head. "I think that I would lose it."

Bending his knees, he placed his elbows over them. "Is it something that you've always been afraid of?"

"No."

"So what happened that caused that shit?"

"It's my turn," I stated.

He smirked after a few seconds. "Alright."

"What do you do?"

He shrugged as he grabbed a hold of his pack of cigarettes that were sitting on the small bedside table next to him. Pulling one out, he looked away from me. "I'm going to medical school next fall."

I raised an eyebrow as he brought the smoke up to his lips. "Well, that's nice and all, but do you work?"

He paused as he lit up his cigarette. Looking at me, he nodded. "I work for my dad sometimes."

"Doing?"

"Pass," he exhaled.

"Already, yeah?"

"I said pass, Bella," he whispered, his voice final. "No questions asked, alright?"

I raised my hands up in the air, not wanting to piss him off. "Fine."

It was quiet for a minute, him smoking, me staring at him. "What's your biggest fear?" he asked. "Not of an actual phobia, but what are you scared of, emotionally and shit."

"Becoming like my mother," I whispered, automatically.

He shook his head at me as I covered my mouth, realizing what I fucking told him. "No worries, Bae. I'm not here to judge you or anything." Placing my forehead against my knees, I ground my teeth together. "Hey, look at me for a second," he continued, causing me to do just that. After putting his cigarette out in the astray, he pushed himself away from the headboard and crawled over to me. "My motherfucking life isn't perfect," he stated, brushing my hair off of my shoulders. "I have my own goddamn demons."

I nodded.

"Yeah?" he asked.

Giving him a small smile, I whispered "Yeah."

He nodded as he sat back. "Your turn."

Needing to get away from all of this serious shit that was starting to drag me down, I changed the flow of the conversation with a smile. "What's your number?"

"My number?"

"Yeah, you know. How many bitches did you fuck?"

"Shit, Bae," he laughed, "Don't hold back."

I shrugged. "I never do."

"I forgot something in my car," he suddenly declared as he went to climb out of bed.

I snorted as I grabbed onto his wrist, stopping him. "That bad, yeah?"

He sat back down, mumbling something under his breath.

"What was that?" I asked.

"Pass."

I grinned. "Now, Edward. I don't recall in your game rules that you could pass two times, yeah?"

He narrowed his eyes at me.

"So, come on. What is it?"

Looking away, he ran his fingers through his hair. "I don't know."

I looked at him incredulously. "You know know? What kind of shit is that?"

"Look," he started, his hair sticking up everywhere, "I just don't keep track, okay?"

I shook my head at him as I pursed my lips. "Asshole."

He shrugged like the hooker that he was as a small smirk left his lips. "What's your fucking number?"

I looked away from him. "Pass."

Kicking my foot, he laughed. "It's not that big of a deal, Bella. It can't b—" his words died as soon as he noticed my expression. "Don't tell me that you count that mo—"

"Drop it," I whispered, interrupting him.

"Bel—"

"What did I say?" I gritted.

He was silent for a second before he held his hands up in the air. "Fine."

As we continued on with the game, I told him about how Emmett came around and how important he is to me. I didn't go into any details about my Pop, simply because there wasn't a reason to, it would only fuck up my mood. I told him about all of my boys and Rose, how we met, blah, blah and blah.

He told me about his Pop working at the hospital, but only that. The kid didn't go into much detail about the whole thing. The subject that took up the majority of the conversation consisted of Esme. He simply adored the woman, to the extreme. I found out that Blue Eyes moved in with them shorty after his mom, who was Esme's sister, died in a car crash that was caused by the other driver, who was intoxicated.

Amazing, right?

By three thirty, I was yawning. "Hey," I whispered, seeing him rub his eyes. "Do you think that you can take me home? As much as I'm enjoying this experience," I paused with a grin, "I'm fucking exhausted."

He scrunched his eyebrows together. "Take you home?"

I nodded, looking at him like 'Uh, yeah fucker. What the fuck do you think I mean?'

He shook his head as he climbed off of the bed. "Uh, yeah, no."

"No? Well, how do you exp—"

"You're staying over," he interrupted, looking over his shoulder as he walked over to the TV. I went to argue, but he held up his hand with a glare. "Don't start, Bella. Just stay tonight, yeah?"

I nodded, but then hesitated. "Wait, don't you think that your parents will freak out when they find me sleeping on their couch in the morning?"

"And why would they find you on the couch?" he asked, turning off the TV.

I raised a brow as he turned around. "Uh, where do you expect me to sleep?"

Nodding towards the bed, he shrugged. "Right here, idiot."

"How about you?"

"I'll take the couch," he answered, heading towards his bathroom. "No worries."

And right before he disappeared from my view, he pulled his shirt off.

Cue my goddamn drooling as I got a glance at his fucking body.

I shook my head to snap out of my thoughts as I climbed out of his bed. "I'm not kicking you off of your own bed," I told him as I headed towards his bathroom. After walking in, I grabbed the toothbrush out of his hand before he got the chance to put it away. "I'll take the couch."

He looked at me with disgust as I ran it underneath the water. After putting a whole lot of toothpaste on it, I lifted it up to my mouth and paused. "Yes?"

He went to grab it, but I pushed his hand away with a glare. "Bella," he groaned. "Come on, man."

"What's your dilemma?" I asked him before shoving his toothbrush into my mouth.

"That's my motherfucking toothbrush!"

"Ye, wy I nee to broosh my teef," I mumbled around his toothbrush.

"Gross!" he yelped.

"Possy," I mumbled before I grinned, making a big show out of brushing my tongue.

He gagged. "You're fucking repulsive."

Rinsing the brush off, I snorted as I held it out to him. After snatching it out of my fingers, the kid turned around and stalked out of the bathroom. "Get over it, you baby. Acting as if we haven't shared germs."

As he mumbled his comeback, I rinsed my face off and turned off the sink. After walking over to his bed, I climbed onto it with a raised eyebrow as he started pulling numerous pillows out of his closet. "What are you doing, Edward?"

He turned around with a glare, and I rolled my eyes at him. "Getting shit to go to bed, Bella."

I looked down at the big ass bed that I was sitting on and shook my head. "Look, I'll feel guilty as shit if I kick you off of your bed." He went to interrupt but I continued. "I seriously won't be able to get a good nights sleep. So, come on, we could share the bed. No worries."

He raised an eyebrow. "You sure?"

I narrowed my eyes at him in some playful but not really type of a way. "Only if you don't grope me."

"No worries. But," he paused with a smirk as he pointed at his body, "Do you think that you'll be able to keep your hands to yourself? Because that's the real problem here, not me."

I rolled my eyes at his arrogance as I pulled the blanket down. After getting underneath it, I raised an eyebrow at him. "Which side is yours?"

"The right side," he answered, placing everything back into the closet.

I grinned as I moved over to the right side. "Nice," I hummed.

He turned around and narrowed his eyes at me. "Bitch."

I snorted as I closed my eyes. After a couple of minutes, the lights went out and I froze, feeling the kid's warmth as he leaned over me. "Do you mind if I sleep in my boxers? I can't sleep, otherwise."

I gulped. "Uhm, yeah—no I mean. I don't mind. No worries."

As I heard the zipper of his jeans being lowered, I internally groaned and lifted the blanket higher up on my shoulder, trying to tell myself — over and over — that raping the kid will do me no good in the future. My eyes snapped open as the smart ass climbed onto the bed from the right side to get to the left side. "Excuse me," he whispered, his chest over the side of my face. "Don't mind me."

I pushed him over with a growl before I looked over my shoulder. "Prick."

He laughed as he laid down over the blanket. "Night, Bae."

I mumbled my goodnight as I turned around again.

Fuck my awake existence.

I'm so motherfucking uncomfortable, sleeping with this much clothing on.

I turned onto my back and threw my arm out. "Shit, Bella!"

I snorted before I grimaced. "Sorry!"

"You good?"

I shook my head. "I'm just…fucking uncomfortable."

The light turned on and I looked over at Edward's sleepy — delicious looking — face. "Do you want me to go, Bae? I mean, it's not a problem. If you're uncomfortable, I'll le—"

I shook my head in interruption. "I just never sleep with this many layers on, that's what I meant."

"Well, get comfortable." I narrowed my eyes at his smirk before he rolled his own. "Relax, Bella. It's a fucking joke, like ha ha?"

I turned over so that I was facing the wall again. "Your jokes are retarded."

"Christ," he mumbled behind me as the lights went out again. "Get comfortable, I won't look."

Looking over my shoulder, I saw that his back was facing me. Turning onto my own, I reached under the blanket and unzipped my jeans before I popped the button off. When he tensed, I paused. "Edward?"

He cleared his throat. "I'm good. I just had a muscle spasm, or something."

Okaay.

I pushed my jeans off of my legs, along with my socks. After sitting up, I pulled my hoodie over my head and threw it down onto the floor, leaving myself dressed in my boy shorts, bra, and tank top.

Now, I'm motherfucking comfortable.

As I snuggled in, my foot accidentally touched Edward's leg and he hissed. Looking over his shoulder, a curse word escaped his throat. "Your feet are frozen, Bae. You need socks, or something?"

"No, they're always like that," I whispered, running my feet along his skin. "But, your warm. Can I just put them underneath your legs for a little bit?"

I heard him moving around and raised an eyebrow at myself before I yelped as he grabbed a hold of my waist to pull me into his chest. "Uh, right," I mumbled, completely frozen. "I uhm, guess, that's cool."

"Relax," he whispered, his breath hitting my hair as his legs and feet tangled with my own. "I'll just hold you until you fall asleep, yeah?"

I nodded as I took a hold of his hand that was hanging over my side. "Yeah. Thanks."

After brushing my hair off of my shoulder with his nose, he smirked against my neck. "Just don't act as if you're surprised if you feel something poking your ass."

I bumped his shoulder with mine. "I better not feel anything poking my goddamn ass."

He laughed, quietly. "I can't help it, shit."

I closed my eyes after rolling them. "Goodnight, prick."

"Night, smartass."
